Jay stopped by to discuss a number of topics related to .NET. He first started with an explanation of .net core and how it relates to the full framework (and mono as well). He also spent some time discussing Microsoft’s recent open source push and its relation to .net. I was also surprised to learn that there has already been many (accepted) pull requests from several types of developers (whom he describes). Lastly, he discusses the purpose of the .NET Foundation and how it helps open source .net projects.
