Liam is back for part 2 of this video to talk about one of the top features requested for Azure Search, the ability to index blobs. Liam begins by providing the insight behind this feature stating that people have different types of blob data (for example, Office documents, PDF, HTML, XML) that they want to index or merge it with some of their existing indexed data. Thus, in this episode of Data Exposed, Liam shows us how easy that is but taking existing Powerpoint content sitting in an Azure blob container and crawling all the text within the Powerpoint and adding it to an existing index. The beauty of this is that this feature allows you to index the text as well as bring in all the properties and merge that data into existing data.
